Terms of Service
Last updated: August 25, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Uncloud, including our website, mobile applications, storage nodes, and related services (collectively, the "Service"), provided by MPSoftware ("Uncloud", "we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. The Service
Uncloud lets you turn your own hardware into a private storage node and connect to it remotely through the Uncloud network, without requiring you to configure port forwarding. Files you upload are encrypted on your device before they leave it. You are solely responsible for the hardware you connect to the Service and for keeping it operational, secure, and backed up.
2. Accounts
You must create an account to use most features of the Service. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your login credentials secure, and notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to store or transmit content that is unlawful, infringing, or that you do not have the right to share, and not to attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service, other users' nodes, or our infrastructure.
4. Subscriptions and Payment
Remote access to self-hosted nodes may require a paid connection subscription. Applicable fees, billing terms, and cancellation policies will be presented to you at the time of purchase. Fees are non-refundable except as required by law.
5. Content Ownership
You retain all rights to the files you store using the Service. We do not claim ownership of your content, and because files are encrypted before upload, we do not have the ability to access their contents.
6. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data loss will never occur, and we strongly recommend maintaining independent backups of any files you store on the Service.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MPSoftware will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from or related to your use of the Service.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the Service.
