How Uncloud Works

You connect your Uncloud storage node to the Uncloud network. The network allows the Uncloud Mobile App to connect directly to your storage node. You don't need to do any port forwarding, Uncloud acts as a secure connection bridge.

When you purchase a node, you will be able to access your files from anywhere in the world. Self hosted Nodes will require a connection subscription. You can always access your files if you're on the same local network.

When you upload a file to the node, it is encrypted before it leaves your phone and is placed in blob storage.

If you have multiple nodes connected, they can act as offsite backups for each other.
