How Uncloud Works

You connect your Uncloud storage node to the Uncloud network. The network allows the Uncloud Mobile App to connect directly to your storage node. You don't need to do any port forwarding, Uncloud acts as a secure connection bridge.

When you purchase a node, you can access your files from anywhere in the world. Self-hosted nodes need a connection subscription for remote access; access over your local network is always free.

When you upload a file, it is encrypted on your phone before it leaves the device and is then stored on the node's drive.

If you have multiple nodes connected, they can act as offsite backups for each other.
